Only, should it be so much easier to search the archives with google than on midrange.com?

Well ... Google does specialize in internet searching. midrange.com does not.

I admit the search engine that I use (ht://dig) is kind of old and has not been updated in recent years ... unfortunately, setting up a search engine is not trivial.

I would LOVE to be able to use a Google search appliance ... but the cost to implement one for almost 600K pages is very very high.

One thing to keep in mind about Google in general (in relation to the midrange.com archives), while Google's search is much more robust ... it also tends to lag ... sometimes significantly. The search engine I host is updated a few times a day.

Have you tried the 'Search All' option? http://archive.midrange.com/search-all

I did a search for RNX1251 with the Search All page and got plenty of hits.

There's also an option to use Google on the Search All page.
