Depends on how clean the data is. If it is very clean I would use a SQL
Server DTS and let that grab the data. Runs automatically and simple to do.
The new 2005 version is more powerful but more complex.

If there is a lot of transform going on I would use Scott's JDBC4 service
program and connect directly to the SQL Server data base and insert your
reocrds. Basically gives you more control over what is going on and driven
from the AS/400 side.

My basic problem with DTS is that they are invisible. Something happens but
you don't know what and people forget they are there and if they fail you
don't know about it but they are a powerful tool.
