The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Nathan,
I have dabbled in various technologies, such as Java, VARPG, screen
scraper/markup tool, etc., but for the most part felt that the
complexities and / or restrictions that each introduced was unacceptable.
The other side of the coin is that while customer would like a GUI,
very few want to pay "extra" to have one. As a consultant, I'm bound
by what the customer is willing to pay for, vs. a company with a
finished product that they are mass marketing. I would love to be on
a project that would allow me to solidify my GUI technical
skills. (Any takers out there?)
So to some degree, I have not been waiting, but rather hoping that
the good folks at IBM will come to their senses and "get with the program."

Your competition provides a GUI, and you don't? It was about 1993
when we began feeling pressure from prospects and competitors to
provide a GUI - which begs the question, what have you been doing
for the past 16 years, or so?
Waiting for IBM to fix the problem?
Nathan.
