Steve,

Again, thank you for the response. I was finally able to make time to test a couple of things. I went and added a new connection under the My Connections. I exported the file that you pointed me to. I copied that file over to another system. I did the import. I was given a warning message stating that the "My Connections" already existed. I was asked if I wanted to merge the data. I selected the YES button.

The new connection was added to My Connections on the other system

This will give us the option of setting up one PC with all the connections we want, do an export of My Connections, send the file to other systems for an Import.

Thanks again,

Nick W Mart

Nick -

I waited hoping someone smarter than me would comment . . .

If you right-click on 'My connections' (or whatever your environment is called) and choose 'Connection to servers' then 'Environments', you can export your entire environment to a Unicode encoded file. There is an 'Import' button also but it appears to only import Unicode encoded files and I was unable to find anything that showed the layout of the import file. If you could get that to work, you could import your 75 systems in a second environment or add them to your previously exported environment.

Maybe you'll have better luck than I.

I am getting ready to add about 75 connections to my iSeries Navigator. If I had all the IP addresses and most of the other necessary settings in a file, is there a way to setup these connections using a script or application?

Thank you in advance,

Nick W Mart
