I suppose I could turn that around and offer the same advise. Your reference compared a March 2009 XEON server to a Power server that came out about 2 years ago. And IBM just announced a 5Ghz Power server at the COMMON opening session, although no benchmarks are yet available. The problem is that these types of comparisons seem to leap-frog each other from one year to the next, but the average IBM i shop seems to keep their servers around for 5-7 years.
