The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
No, but they could really water it down and use it as a intro level hobbiest
dbms and if you want to get serious then you'll have to buy some version of
oracle... HYPOTHETICALLY, tales with more than 40 rows or 3000 columns,
then Oracle...etc...
They could also choke it performance wise...etc... Basically, neuter it...

What do you think Oracle will do with MySQL?
Others are asking the same question. Oracle is sitting on $8 billion in
cash now, but most of that is scheduled to go to Sun shareholders. Oracle
will be looking for ways to rebuild its reserves. They historically fell
back on Oracle DB, for that. MySQL could be viewed internally as an
impediment. Or it could be used as a vehicle for cross-selling Oracle DB.
Its hard to kill open-source software.
