If you decide to build the tables in SQL Server and then transfer the data
using JDBC or some such tool remember that it's quite easy in iSeries
Navigator to retrieve the SQL for a table even if the file was created
using DDS.

Expand the system, Expand Databases, Expand the database under that
(commonly named the same as the system name). Expand Schemas (which you
may think of as libraries). You can right click on Schemas and select
"Select schemas to display". Select a schema (or library). Select
Tables. Right click on the table and select Generate SQL.
