I've done it, and I frequently wish I hadn't. Or at least that I'd only
put one mirrored pair in the secondary ASP.
The first time I did it, it was purely for the purpose of testing and
fixing problems users were having: it seems that if they tried to
install QuestView into a secondary ASP (or maybe it was just reading
files in a secondary ASP), the ASP would bite them (hence the nickname
"snakebyte" for ASP problems). The second time, it was for a project
that was later abandoned.
At any rate, I've put as much big user stuff into the secondary ASP as
practical, and it's still mostly empty, and wasting drives that would be
better utilized in the primary ASP. Which is another kind of snakebyte.
