I often find with all books regardless of platform or topic, it is always
how to do individual specific tasks. When what you would really like is a
complete start to finish guide to complete a larger task, that includes all
of the best practices etc.
For example an IBM i book on building a hotel reservation web site from
start to finish, using some of the newer technologies with production
quality code would be nice ;-)

I co-wrote "Navigating the AS/400" a long time ago, which was pretty good
for its time and its purpose, which was to be a general overview and
acclimation manual for the AS/400. While I'd never be involved in a
"Dummies" book, I am curious as to what folks feel as to the need for an i
book. What would be the intended audience in the current state of the
industry? What topics should be covered? How 'in depth' should the book be?
I would be interested in any replies.
