Yes, my printer worked fine as a workstation printer but could not print
AFPDS. It always put the spool file to hold. But when I connected it as
NETWORK printer and assigned an IP Address, it did all AFPDS printing
(boxes, fonts, overlays, and page segments). I don't remember why. I tried
so many configurations already. Both have device type 3812.

Rex,
The printer works fine as a workstation printer through iSeries Access
now. I just want the configuration setup so that it will recognize AFPDS
commands.
Thanks.

Try connecting the printer to the network with assigned IP address...
I had this problem before and ended up doing the above.

Subject: AFPDS Printing
Hello list.
I have an HP laser printer attached to my PC which is running iSeries
Access. I want to be able to print a document with an AFPDS overlay.
How
do I configure a printer session to support this? I had this set up a
long time ago, but my current implementation is not working.
Thanks.
