I think the ownership of Java could be real significant. Currently, MSFT has
no competition in the comprehensive language and run time framework space.
With the proper investment in Java, coding Linux apps could be as easy as
writing .NET apps on Windows. The hope is that IBM becomes the language
provider for Linux, competing against Microsoft's languages for windows.
