Elvis, The iSeries SQL statement that I used to create the alias is as
follows:

CREATE ALIAS CUSTUDENT/PSTU2409 FOR SMSFILES/PSTU240(WCBOE09)

I changed the Synonyms option for the Datasource and that did not seem to
help with the current setup.
Nathan, Interesting idea. Crystal has a command line, I will look into this.
You don't happen to know if this can be done that way?

Rather than using SQL Alias, I'd suggest calling a CL program from Crystal
Reports to perform member overrides (the OVRDBF command) before running any
SQL Select statements.

It may be helpful to pass a parameter to the CL program to control which
files & members are overridden for which reports.
