That's true for DC, but it gets more complicated for AC, which has
non-unity power factors involved (which vary according to how much of
the load impedance is true resistance, and how much of it is reactance).
Which is why lots of AC-powered equipment, and all has a Volt-Amp rating
instead of (or in addition to) the Watt rating. It's also why a UPS
typically has a VA rating rather than a W rating.
