Richard,

It has been a couple of years since I worked with Web Facing. I believe
there is information that can be retreived using the QDCRDEVD api. From the
notes I have left over from that time, Use the format of DEVD0600 for this
API. From the receiver variable that is returned, you can extract the PC's
IP address from positions 878 to 892.

If I find an actual example of the coding that I used back then, I will send
it along.

Subject: Web Facing and Getting Web Session IP Address

Hello All,

Does anyone here know if there's a way to get the IP address of the web
session from the called program when a Web Faced Application gets called
?

It looks like it creates a virtual terminal session under the covers but
the web jobs go in and out of the web server as needed and don't
persist.

The standard Telnet IP address check doesn't seem to work because these
are virtual terminals.

I'm thinking there must be something available in the environment info
or via API call....

Anyone want to take a shot at this one ?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Richard Schoen
