Question: I'm somewhat familiar with ways to get the current LPAR programmatically, but what's the easiest way for a user to find out
what LPAR he/she is on? And does it return the number in decimal or
hex?

Consider... Normally a user would only [need to] know which IP address or host name, or system name, or database name to which they attach or that they access. I would expect they would most typically see the system name on /screens/ or reports presented to them, such that the name of the /system/ [in their perception, irrespective of any LPAR configuration,] would in most scenarios imply which partition they are accessing.? IOW, why would a user ever need or even want to know which LPAR?
