Mike,

The question is can V5R3 run on the 550? If you are on V5R3M5 of
lic it's not a problem. The n, n+1 was when you had a primary partition
(Power4).

Subject: OS versions on one box.

I am currently running two partitions on an 810 but may be looking to move
them to a 550. I seem to remember a rule of versions going something like
: "N-1. N, N+1'
If I'm running V5R3 and the destination machine has V6R1, can the V5R3
partition coexist with V6R1 regardless if there is a V5R4 partition or
not?

Thanks,
