Why _not_ make life easier for others once you have determined what
some
arbitrarily numbered indicator actually does?

Two reasons, you're unsure you've changed everything, and you're unsure
our changes didn't break anything.

Speaking from a VisualStudio developer's point of view, VS helps us with
the first part, we can right-click and "rename" anything and the tool
will find all usages of that symbol in the code and change them
accordingly. Is there similar tooling in RDi?

For the second part, the "theory" says there should be unit tests for
everything. The theory sounds so wonderful, the complete freedom to
change and refactor anything and know that if you make a breaking change
then the tests will catch it. In reality, I've not found a good testing
tool for DB driven applications (what we all write).
