How about an RPG program that identifies those records which do not match?
Or is that too old school?

Hi Kris
if there are common keys between the 2 files that would make each record
unique, (and not too many fields) then you might be able to use SQL

Hi,
I need to do a data comparison between two identical physical files. I
tried the CMPPFM but its returning a lots of junk values in the comparison
report. Can some one suggest a way to do this? Basically read the two files
and notify me the differences in the data. I tried the TAATOOL CMPDBF as
well but it didn't worked out.

Regards
Kris.
