We want it to look as similar as possible to our existing
printed product catalogs.

I'm using RPG with an HTML template API to merge data & generate stream files. Jobs are submitted to batch. The API uses CSS for page breaks.

After the stream files are generated, I pull them up in a browser and print to PDF files. Colors, formatting, and page breaks are preserved in the PDF.
