We use BRMS with a tape library (TS-3200) on a SAN which eliminates the
need to "swap" resources to different LPARS. It's very sweet!!! The
tool from Barsa Consulting is what we used to use before and it work
very well http://www.barsaconsulting.com/aprm.htm.

Thanks, Matt

Subject: LPAR resource move

I have a tape library that I move back and forth between partitions,
from the HMC. I want to automate/incorporate this into my BRMS script.
I know that the HMC can schedule this but I would much rather
incorporate the resource move directly into my backups and execute it
from the partition.

Can this be done? Does anyone have a code sample (likely using API's)
to accomplish this?
