Novell has a product call Zenwork that does that kind of thing and much
more.

enterprise solution to initially set up and maintain PCs via a "master
copy". There would need to be the capability of multiple masters for
different "user sets" that need different PC software tool sets.
Suggestions? Recommendations of what you know works would be greatly
appreciated.
