We are planning on upgrading our last LPAR from v5r3 to v5r4 and this will require that we run the object conversion tasks post upgrade. Since this 'touches' most objects (files) we normally run a full system save right afterwards. On this LPAR a full save will push us beyond our available outage window. We thought, hey no problem we'll just do a SAVSYS and save the *IBM libs. But this opens up another problem. Every night for the next week our incremental saves will think all the files need to be saved. We can't run 8 - 10 hour nightly backups.

Q) Does the post upgrade conversions flag the objects so BRMS sees them as changed and included them in incremental saves?

Q) Is there any good way to get around this until we can get another full save the next weekend?
