In lieu of IPDS, we use a product called Excelliprint to convert IPDS to
PCL, so any capable printer could be used.

Test your barcodes carefully. During evaluation, we noticed the barcode
spacing was different between IPDS and PCL. However, we have seen
spacing differences between different IBM IPDS printers as well (for
example IBM 4312 and 1140).
