I'm afraid your request is a little obtuse to be answered with any authority. IMO, there is nothing special about DB2/400 data that you won't find similarities inherent in other databases - other than the EBCDIC encoding which can cause comparison and sorting problems when the data manager switches the selection and sorting mechanism from the PC to the iSeries or vice versa.

Maybe if you had a specific example, we could offer an opinion.
