We have used it for years for some components (web access to data), and are
doing more and more with it as our other apps move into the web enabled
realm.

I know that the book that I'm reading (Inside the AS/400) is very old
(1997). It has been very interesting to get some of the i concepts down.
But I'm now in the "future speculation" in Chapter 11. On page 300, he
states: "We in the AS/400 Division are betting on Java to become our
future business programming language for object-oriented applications,
..."
So, I'm curious. Is Java popular on the i? I know that it is not a
popular as it was touted to be back in the day.
