Hi Fran

It will depend on what the ALOWOBJDIF and MBROPT parameters on the restore
were I would guess. Who owns the restored object and the saved object can
also have an influence if I remember rightly.

When I restore libraries in this situation I much prefer to clear or delete
the library before restoring it to avoid just this kind of weird situation.

There are same rules about overwriting data which I simply can't recall at
the moment.

Regards
Evan Harris

Hi Evan,
No, there aren't any logicals.
Hmmm. I wonder, if there is no text, would the restore put some default out
there?

But, there should have been a member because my CL generates one if none
exists so that the next pgm [RPG] will not fail.
Thanks,
