I did the V6R1 upgrade over the weekend and ran into 1 issue for which I had
to contact IBM on Saturday.

The I is our DNS server and the upgrade basically hosed DNS, I think.

Support had me build this file:

/QIBM/UserData/OS400/DNS/_DYN/rndc-key._KID

there was a command I used to create it, so IBM has seen this before.

I also had to comment out the following statements in
/QIBM/UserData/OS400/DNS/NS/named.conf:

#controls {
# inet 127.0.0.1 port 953 allow { 127.0.0.1; } keys { "rndc-key"; };
# inet ::1 port 953 allow { ::1; } keys { "rndc-key"; };
#};

I asked the IBM guy Saturday if these statements had something to do with
IPV6. He wasn't sure, but it made sense to him that it did.

The POP server also will not start when TCPIP starts (get an error) but I
can start it with STRTCPSVR *POP. It's as if some underlying thing is not
ready when POP is initially started.

I will be following up on both of these today.

BTW, I just absolutely love image catalogs.
