But I'm interested in a way to package software for distribution.
Ideally, I'd have a repository of packages of various shapes and
sizes, for different products. A product is a collection of
applications. If I change one of the applications, I'd like to offer
something like a temporary PTF for just that application, and not the
entire product. What would be really cool would be a way for
customers to browse my software repository and compare it to what's
installed on their server; to download and install changes, easily.
