Interesting. Could you give me your contact at Iron Mountain? Offlist
if
necessary. There has to be a more intelligent being at Iron Mountain
than
the guy I talked to.
Thanks.

I am sending Iron Mountain files from a 520 and a MMA system. One is
V5R3, the other V5R4. We use BRMS to control backups on both systems.I
convert the printed reports to a database flat file and ftp the fileto
our
local Iron Mountain site. The reports contain the information of thetapes
that we are sending to Iron Mountain and the tapes Iron Mountain is toshould
return to us.
We have no problems with them. It seems to me the Iron Mountain site
be able to download the save file to a disk area for storagejournal
Hope that helps

Subject: Online backup from System i (FTP)
All,
When I do a CHGJRN to attach a new journal receiver, I save the old
receiver to a save file and FTP it to my PC so it's saved somewhereoff
the
System i. I want to FTP it to somewhere offsite as well./
I tried Iron Mountain, but, get this: they cannot do AS/400 / iSeries
System I / i. They can only do PC/Unix/Linux because they install apiece
of software that does the send to their vault. This is unacceptableto me
because I don't want to have to go through my PC (or any other system)to
get offsite. I want it direct.my
Anyone got any suggestions on a service that will do this? Thanks.
