remove the requirements for *IOSYSCFG and *ALLOBJ. I would like to
allow
network admin's to be able to update our DNS without giving near
godlike
authority on my iSeries.

Here, here!

I had to get very upset with a tech who told me that the iNav developer
REQUIRED *ALLOBJ authority just to send files between systems! He was
not willing to do any PD if the user did not have *ALLOBJ. I ended up
writing my own command.

Subject: Design Change Request - MR1120086322

Hello Chris,

Regarding your Design Change request that you submitted back in August
(we apologize for the delay in getting back to you) :

Request Title:
DNS Administration

Provide a detailed Description of the request (including unique
usage):
Can you please add DNS administration to iNav Application
Administration and
remove the requirements for *IOSYSCFG and *ALLOBJ. I would like to
allow
network admin's to be able to update our DNS without giving near god
like
authority on my iSeries.

We have another customer who submitted this same request and we are
waiting to hear back from development on this.
That request was # MR1120086322 and development is supposed to answer
that by Feb.20th. When we receive feedback on that request,
we will pass along the information to you as well.

Thank you for your interest in IBM.
