IT exists to solve business problems, and business problems are solved
by applications, not platforms. Yes, adding a new platform to the
current IT strategy costs money and requires effort - but this is
generally less of a problem if there are real advantages of adding
that platform, because you need an application.

So, my question to all you guys: What are the IBM i killer
applications? What ERP solutions are available on the i that are
superior to other ERP solutions that run on Windows or Unix?
