Honestly, how often are you going to do LPARs? If once or twice I
recommend the cheap way. Bring in an outside consultant and have them do
it for you. Stick with them like glue and learn all you can.
I did it the consultant way and have done a few more lpars since then.
Both 8xx, Power 5 & Power 6.

IBM does have formal education on LPARs.
