Joel,

Normally the 6400 has multiple configs available. There is a setting
for power on to select a specific config.

You need to:

(01) make your changes
(02) save them to a config
(03) change your power on config to the one you saved your changes.
(04) cycle power on the printer to test if changes were actually saved

I would not save over the factory default config but YMMV.

Subject: IBM 6400 Config Settings

I need to change the IP address on an IBM 6400 printer. I changed the
TCPIP settings on the printer itself and confirmed those settings from
the HTTP interface. The printer has been rebooted and reset. However
the Old IP address is still active and the new IP address is
unavailable. But If I log onto the HTTP config I see the new IP
address listed. How do I get the printer to start using the new IP
address

Thanks
