Rob,

As a development shop with only one person, I don't use the standard
QCTL setup. For my machine I use the QBASE setup. Granted what I am
working on is 5250 style development.

Now I do have a second machine that I run as a copy of what production
uses, so it is setup with QCTL. On that system I am constantly moving
memory when I need to.

So, it all depends on the situation. Luckily with only one person on the
system, I can pretty much do what ever I want.

James has me thinking about the really small customers. Let's say a
development shop or a 1 or 2 person shop. (Like the shops with
thousands
of these with 1 in each storefront.) Unless you are regularly running
into the batch job from hell does it make sense to bust up your memory
pool into multiple chunks? Sure QPFRADJ can be set to shift memory
around. But that only moves so much, so fast. (IBM fears
overcompensating.)
