The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

The SQL equivalent of multi-format logicals is the SQL UNION.
That sounds familiar -- oh, yes. I've used it.
Assuming that they have the fields defined the same way, you can simply
bring them together with an SQL UNION.
I'm sure I could UNION two files together in an installation-specific
version of the lookup program, but that's something I'd like to avoid,
if possible. And of course, I could UNION the files together and pour
the result into a file, but that would be a static snapshot. Is there a
way to make a persistent, dynamic UNION, that behaves like a file?
