Sure they should. It's obvious that I believe in opinions My problem is that people on this list confuse opinions with character assessments, and if you don't agree with theirs, you're a Luddite. I used to argue those positions, but it's not worth the time. The biggest arguers are the folks with the narrowest viewpoints, and I no longer wish to deal with those attitudes, so I avoid such discussions. I only occasionally weigh in just to make sure alternate views are at least heard.

In short, I (sort of) agree that neither is better than the other. But I
disagree that because of that there shouldn't be discussion, rather I
say that precisely because of that there _should_ be discussion.
I agree there should be discussions. It's just that this list is becoming less of a place of interchange among open minds than a place where people insist that their way is the only way.
