Hmmm. I used imgburn and ended up with a file of roughly the same size. Interestingly enough, the SRC code changed from B2004158 LP=002 to B2006015 LP=002 which points to a corrupted load source.

No joy on ESS either. Apparently the developer lease folks haven't properly registered the system to our customer ID so I cannot access the IBM i 6.1 downloads for it. So, more hassles in trying to get this stuff taken care of. We just bought SWMA on our 520 and it never got "registered" with support either it took a week to get that sorted out. Apparently the offshoring of this function to Brazil has not gone well.

I wish I could tell if the CD itself was bad. I am going to see if I can get a USB DVD ROM drive to be recognized by the blade as Steve suggested, that way I would know for sure if the CD was bad.

So far, this hasn't been too much fun.....

My I_BASE_01 ISO is 620MB. Most likely, you created a RAW CD Image,
which includes more information (good for copying copy protected CDs),
but of course can't be read by generic iso interpreters.

I've always used imgburn to deal with ISO images, including creating
them. Never had any issues.

Another alternative would be to download the ISO image directly from IBM ESS.
