Wy not show the selected data in a web page (form), allow the user to update the expiration date and update the file on "submit". This way you avoid the download, the VB and the upload.

And how does the data get on the web page? Sounds like a download to me. Same would go for the submit action, sounds like an upload.

Will a webpage allow quick one button sorting by any of the columns?

Will a webpage allow the copy of one date value to a number of other rows in a simple paste action?

How does all of this happen without programming? Sounds like your suggestion is the exact same method using a different base.
