Greetings from sunny Florida.

I am developing an RPG application in which a user can list file data in a subfile window and I allow the user to delete any values no longer needed. I can delete any number of records in the subfile window and the remaining records will be read and redisplayed without a problem. My issue comes upon the deletion of the last record in the file. As the last record is being deleted and the window redisplayed, the underlying base screen vanishes so all I have is a blank screen with a window. I condition the header literals to display `no records found` and everything else I have coded seems consistent with what I have done in the past. I have compiled with screen with RSTDSP *YES, used the keywords PUTRETAIN, KEEP, ASSUME, OVERLAY and PUTOVR. Nothing seems to leave the base display intact. This is the first time I have coded a subfile window to display no records.

What could be causing my base display to vaporize?

Thanks,
