Pulled this thing out of the box today, set up the BCS, read everything that was included but there is no indication of how to start i5/OS and log in. I assume it will be using a LAN console.

The software came pre-installed, based on the the configuration and packing list, so I shouldn't have to install i5/OS (although there is plenty of documentation at IBM and on the web [thanks Lukas!] on how to install the OS). All I want to do is to start the OS up and log in. Yet, no "Getting Started" booklet. No "Start here" documentation. Just quite a few CD's, some diagrams and a few pointers on how to get to the BCS management console (Man! It's almost like it was a LINUX box! LOL! And, I know, it IS a Linux box, basically) . Actually, the BCS is pretty well documented (on line and with packing materials). It the JS12 Blade running VIOS and i5/OS that is lacking documentation.

Do I just stuff the iSeries Access DVD in and run it and it will find the JS12 automagically?

Pointers?

This will definitely be fun......

Pete
