Via the system reply list you can tell it to work for SPECIFIC printers
and not all. I use that extensively and it works great.
Here is an example handle form type and alignment:

When a printer writer is started using STRPRTWTR, it defaults to
*Inquiry messages being sent for
changing forms etc. This is useful for impact printers because the user
needs to adjust the tractors.
However for laser printers, and other cut sheet printers, it still sends
the message. Is there an
easy way to inhibit these messages for cut sheet printers? I don't want
to use the system reply list
because we have a mix of cut sheet and continuous forms printers. Some
printers need the message,
others don't. I really don't want to have to manage the system reply
list.
