Scott

There doesn't seem to be a previous command. The job is submitted e.g.
003520/QUSER/QZDASONIT in subsystem QUSRWRK in QSYS (CPF1124) and then a few
seconds later MCH3601 is issued with nothing in between.

I don't know which command or program to check for logging level.

Any ideas?

Rob

OK, also make sure that the message logging has LOGCLPGM(*YES) and tell
us what command is receiving the MCH3601. It should be one or two lines
before the MCH3601 message.

Thanks Scott,

I had already seen Richard Belles advice and tried it but it had no
effect.
I found the MCH3601 code from checking the log as he advised.

best wishes

Rob

Generally MCH3601 would indicate a library list or authority issue.

Thanks Simon,

The joblog for QZDASOINIT shows

MCH37601 From module QZDACRTP to module QZDACRTP

Message .. pointer not set for location referenced

I have checked QUSER profile, etc. and that seems OK.

Generally MCH37601 relates to incorrect parameters being passed but in

this instance it is an OS/400 problem. I believe that I have
installed all the correct PTFs but of course I may have missed
something. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help again.

Best wishes
