Re: FTP over SSL

I have recently set up FTPs with WFB and it is working as expected with no issues. It is critical to tell your tech rep that you have an iSeries as that triggers a call to another department that is setup to work with iSeries.

The have a zip file of certificates (yes, plurl) and once installed in the cert store it works as designed. No problems.

This may or may not be related to your problem but, according to technical folks at Wells Fargo, the IBM i and its way of dong FTP/S or SFTP is not in keeping with the rest of the industry and is a bear to make work with their systems for encrypted file transfer of banking files. Apparently they have been successful in patching together "something" but it doesn't appear to be anything native and usually involves a third part *ix or Windoz piece of software.
Geeze. I'll know more as I try to get our i working with Wells.
