Mary,

You can also use InfoPrint to accomplish sending spool files via email,
although as .PDFs.

I was sure that Brad's tools could email directly from spooled files. I
know that ours can.Check the BVSTOOLS site for more information - you
don't need to do all the converting yourself. Brad is on this list and
can tell you more.

Now why am I telling you this? We have similar products!!!!

As for the IFS, you really should read the manual from IBM. The link is
at
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r4/topic/ifs/rzaax.pd
f

In V5R4 Infocenter it is all under the "Files and file system section"

Sorry for the vagueness...the result of rushing off the next
"fire"..... we are thinking of implementing MailTool from BVSTools to
email invoices to various stores....the invoices are spoolfiles,
generated from RPG that we want to send to the stores. We would prefer

to attach the spoolfiles so that the managers receive via email what
they are currently receiving on paper...hoping to keep confusion to a
minimum. But we could also generate individual files to send if
necessary.
As far a "creating a directory" we got as far as merely taking the
option off the menu to create a directory.

Thanks

Mary
