Roy,

Sounds like you may be new to the platform. If so, then welcome to the list.

The PDM option you used probably created a brand-new file into a different
library that your library list is expecting. Check the PDM default library as
well as your job's library list. You didn't specify _which_ PDM option you used,
but be aware that PDM offers at least two ways to create files from DDS: CRTPF
and CHGPF. In either case, you'll need to review (and possibly recompile) any
existing RPGs and CLs that are expecting to receive data under the previous file
layout.

CRTPF creates a brand-new file in the specified library, completely overwriting
the existing data. Be careful with this option.

CHGPF updates an existing file with DDS changes and tries its best to copy and
map the existing data to the new file.

To All:

I've added 3 fields to a file and compiled the changes successfully (no
error Messages) via STRPDM.

However a WRKQRY against the file does not show the 3 new fields.

What do I have to do to make the changes effective in the file?

I'm assuming delete the file and perhaps re-compile the DDS(?). If
that'sthe case how do I delete the file?
