Why don't you have "Cleanup" running each night? Do a GO CLEANUP
and set the number of days you wish to keep your QHST files for, and then
you can just take the option to submit immediately and let it do this for
you automatically.

If you are having a lot of QHST files being generated each day, you
might want to increase the default size of 5000 records per file to a higher
number by changing the System Value for the QHST size.
