Philipp,

We've experienced that situation a few years ago, and the only way (for us)
to solve it was to take out the on board batterie on the FSP card during
al least 30', so the machine lost its settings. What we did : power off the
machine, unplug the power from wall, open the machine and identify the FSP
card (behind the cooloings ? not sure about that), and take out the
battery. Go for a big coffee (longer than 30'), plug back the battery,
replug FSP card, replug wall power, and power on.

It worked for me then, and we were advised to do so by IBM support.

Hope this helps, and greetings from CH too.

Hi all,
since hours I am struggling with a new but preconfigured i5-520 first
generation POWER5 without +.
System has only been loaded with the LIC, no LAN access besides the
console yet.
On port T5 there was a LAN console config but with the password
delivered with this system we
couldn't manage to connect. Since we do not have any HMCs around and the
system is only configured
with this one and only console type we are lost.
I tried to clear LAN config via 65+21 and so on for three times now,
this doesn't work.
We tried an additional LAN adapter in C5 (2838) which gave us some kind
of connection but then timed out
after first password exchanging. What is going on here ?
Any hints highly welcome.
Greetings from Switzerland,

Sincères salutations, Best Regards.
