Using DCM you can assign a certificate to the database server and DDM
server.
DDM is port 447
DDM-SSL is port 448
Database is port 8471
Database-SSL is port 9471
I believe OBDC uses the DDM/DRDA ports of 447/448
This is all native but requires you to have several optional parts of
the OS installed. If you are running any SSL on your system, they are
already installed.
You must have the following options installed:
5722SS1 34 OS/400 - Digital Certificate Manager
5722AC3 *BASE Crypto Access Provider 128-bit
5722DG1 *BASE IBM HTTP Server

Subject: How to configure SSL external access to a database?
Hi!
I want to allow one of our partners to connect to a DB2 database file
located on our iSeries, using SSL, to write records. But I don't know
how to configure SSL to allow encrypted ODBC access to this table. It it
possible natively? Must we buy a third-party database tool and install
it on our iSeries server?
If it is possible to do it natively, is there any step-by-step tutorial
that shows how to configure it?
Thanks for your answers
