Re: ftp parameter question

FTP understands bytes (stream data). No concept of records.

If it's a text file, you can use the "wc" comand from qshell. It gives
you records, words, and bytes.

when FTP'ng from a command line,
or any where else for that matter..
it always states the "byte" size of the
file on completion, I've been reading, but
can't find any way to tell it to give you a
"record" count instead of "byte" size
