Joe,"Found a way to implement one of the various ANSI standards." Wow. What a silly statement. IBM is the most ANSI-compatible RDBMS on the market, so of course you poo-poo it, yet your original statement professed that you don't think DB2 on the i will handle something.
You know my arguments are not about ANSI SQL and if the i has found a way to implement one of the various ANSI standards.
Its like arguing a comparison between flight capabilities between different types of contemporary aircraft; yep they all fly...I'm not even sure what this statement means, Dave. Actually, no RDBMS is as ANSI-compliant as DB2. That being the case, none of the others fly, or at least not very well.
